Baseball players get paid the most for the least amount of real work.....They don't really have to be that athletic and still make a crap load.

if ya want your college athletes to be paid, just switch to watching basketball... but really... if they are paid, that would make them professional athletes, not college students... the whole point is they get to go to college for free, not go to class, have sex with 20+ girls a week, travel and play an awesome game... how is that not reward enough? the problem is not with athletes not being paid... the problem is with schools charging $80 to get into a game even at face value... and $150 for a jersey... (sad thing... that's STILL cheaper than even the cheapest textbook these days) not sure if you go to college or not... but the this doesn't even seem like the biggest scam in college... $240 for a textbook... now THERE'S a scam...

I think cork gave the best answer up to now i didnt really think about it I thought soccer (football) but I realised that it is indeed baseball
but I still think soccer is pretty high as if you think of all the players transferring teams because of money like when david beckham was supposed to move to spain and thierry henry moved to england and its all becuase they are getting payed high

on average it is football per game...most is baseball all around...BUT the most played american athlete is a Soccer player...ic ant remember his name, but he makes at least a few million more then any other athlete a year

Overall- baseball players.
But per sport players--nobody can top tiger woods total yearly income.

On average I think NBA players have the highest average salary per player but they also have the fewest players per team. Baseball is #2 in average salary.
