Do you watch anime subtitled or dubbed? I personally prefer dub cuz I don't watch something to read it. I have an above average reading level meaning I read 400 - 450 words a minute so don't call me lazy. I can understand the subbed argument "it sounds better" a lot of anime does sound better in Japanese then English. For my first time watching it, unless I have a choice, I won't watch it subbed. Maybe after I've seen it but to me if I can understand them without reading anything then I'm happy, whats your opinion?

Dubbed, as long as they don't completely screw up the dubbing (like some DBZ episodes... just saying....)

Subbed. It seems the same 20 or so voice actors dub every new anime and sometimes the voices just don't fit (I cringed when I heard the dub for Naruto's voice, as well as Sanji's voice in One Piece. How the hell do you get a New York Brooklyn accent for a French chef?). The original Japanese voice acting is always many degrees superior to any dub in any language.

I really prefer subs a lot.. Whenever they dub anime, I was like frustrated because they removed one of the most essence of anime.. The actual voices of the seiyuu/voices of the anime adds colors to the anime.. I can read fast and reading the subtitles, I can also see the actual anime, so, I prefer subs more..

I *definitely* prefer subbed anime. I think the voice acting really is much better. In Japan the actors are recording together, and so in the anime it actually sounds like they are talking to each other, whereas in English, for some reason, they isolate the voice actors, so each one is mearly reading a scrpit by himself, not knowing how the other people sound, and I think the finished product sounds really aweful. It's like the isolation comes through into the show. Plus, it *really* annoys me how two characters will pronounce a word completely differently when they are talking in the same conversation. Like in Naruto, Kankuro and Temari both pronounce their own brother's name differently from each other. Come on. =/
Aaanyhoo, strangely enough though, there is *one* anime where I actually prefer the english, and that's Ranma. I think they did a really good job on that one.
And that's about it. ^_^

I have a theory about people who watch subtitled anime and people who watch dubbed. I think that your preference depends on which form you see first. I find that most people who watch anime dubbed first will prefer dubbed and the people who watch it subbed first will prefer subtitles. I personally prefer uncut dubbed anime, but there are some exemptions. I.E. Tenjou Tenge and One Piece.

I watch subbed because I actually want to understand it and only watch it one time around. It's best the first time, so yea.
