Pour some Coca Cola on it, wait a few minutes, then scrub off with a toothbrush. You can use a baking powder & water mixture in place of the cola.

Take terminal off Clean with baking soda and a small wire brush.Clean battery terminals.Reinstall cables and tighten.Take a can of any color spray paint and spray cables ends. This will stop all corrosion I guarantee it.NOTICE when reinstalling or removing cables be sure doors are closed and ignition in off position. This is so that you minimize a possible spark.Sparks or flame could ignite the fumes of the acid in a battery. Be sure to hook up the red or the positive cable first. Then the ground.

Make a paste of Baking Soda and water. Put it on the terminals. The corrosion is acidic, the Baking Soda is alkaline. After it stops fizzing, rinse the Baking Soda off of the battery, or it will kill the battery. Happy Motoring.

Mix some Arm & Hammer baking soda with water and make a slurry. Pour onto your battery terminal to neutralize the acid. Once that has stopped foaming, rinse off with water and repeat if necessary.

mix baking soda with water poured on terminals it will clean and stop corrosion, but don't pour so much it gets in the battery it's best to disconnect from batt. when clean go to parts store ask for spray coat for batt. post they will know what you want spray on the terminals keeps it from corroding it is like a clear coat work's very good.

Once you clean them, put about 4 old copper pennies between the terminals, and they will attract the corrosion. The must be older pennies, since the new ones are copper coated tin.
