violent muscle contraction during an extreme exertion of muscles due to a "mother of all sneezes".
perhaps aided and abetted by weak muscle tone. Relax, take a hot bath, wait til the pain is gone and then start regular muscle stretching and exercise. Remember to include the opposing muscle too. (& stomach muscles).
good luck,

Weak back and stomach muscles may have caused this. Are you out of shape... another contributing factor. I know some one who sneezed hard and was out of shape who ended up i the hospital for straining the muscles in between his ribs.
