The media should leave them alone. they want the funeral private as it is part of their religion. The media can't respect this but would be the first to point out when somebody else was going against or interfering with anyone's religion.

Since the Amish wish for no one to make an image of them, it is way beyond rude for cameras to intrude on them in the darkest hour they've seen in many years. If 'the people' need to know (which they don't), send a reporter to write a story.

The media needs to back off. If the families want private funerals that's what they should get.

I think it is sad that the media thinks it has the right to barge in and disrupt the funerals with all their cameras

I think the media, given the sensitivity of this tragedy should have agreed to send one, and one only, reporter and crew into the town who would then relay their report to others. What must they think of us? It has probably reinforced their views on modern society. In their time of great loss they should be allowed a measure of privacy.

Human tragedy loves notoriety. Oh wait...humans love the tragedy of others...that's what it is.

The American people are hungry for stories like this because they are sad, unbelievable, and news worthy. This story will fade shortly, and these poor people will be left to grieve for the loss of their loved ones, and the cruel glare of the camera and lights.

Even if our curiosity is provoked by sadness or sympathy, we will continue to makes these stories headline news because of our intense desire to be "peeping Toms" in the lives of others.

Leave those poor people alone to grieve. They are Amish, not some type of freak show.

I think they should leave them alone and let them morne in peace.
They did not and do not ask for any attention and no one needs to see the detail of the funeral
