Try laying on the guilt. "You're my big sister, I really need your advice. Please don't tell - it would devastate me." That kind of stuff. If this doesn't work, then I would tell your crush before she can say anything. It'd be a lot less embarassing to tell him quietly rather than to have it get back to him. And who knows, he'll probably think it's so cool that you took the initative that he just might ask you out!!! Take a chance and trust him with your secret. Tell him!

my little sister heard me, and she promised not to tell anyone.... 2 weeks later i found out she told all of her friends and it ended up screwing up prom for me. I got in the biggest fight with her ever...i was devastated. she claimed that she "forgot" that i told her to promise. I even told her in the beginning... " you can't just make up excuses and say you forgot your promise." I will never tell her one of my secrets again. try to blackmail her. tell her something you know about her that she doesn't want anyone to know.
