1. If you want to purchase a Beckett guide, that will help. Although I think they are pretty much out-dated even as they go to print.

2. You can check ebay for the non-common cards to see what they're selling for, and find out even which are common cards. Mostly the common cards sell in lots and the lots without duplicates are the best, therefore, collect the most money.

3. You can contact you're local trading-card shop -- some are into Yu Gi Oh and some are not, so you'll need to check with them to ensure that they handle, on a regular basis, Yu Gi Oh cards.

I did this for my son and ended up trading the Yu Gi Oh cards for other cards that he was into and I used our local trading card shop via a consignment program to do that. Of the 3 trading card shops close to me, one did more business that the others with Yu Gi Oh, so I went there.

i think beckett has a magazine that prices yu gi oh cards. you mightbe able to buy it at a toysrus, or a comic book store.
