You know what? The more I say it, the more it sounds like a name! It certainly sounds very grand! I like it. It would be especially suitable, if it has a particular significance to you or someone in your family. I don't know why others are saying the child would be teased....I mean, for what?! And I agree Scot would be lovely for short. Go for it! :-)

Sorry I don't like it at all - Scotland is a country not a name!

It sounds so funny to hear children named after countries like this.

I do like the name for a boy... it is something that I would have never thought to name a baby boy, but I do kinda of see it working as a name.

Sometimes something sounds clever when first thought up, but after a while the novelty wears off, and it becomes to sound rather silly. Don't hang a name on a boy that he'll have to defend the rest of his life.

YES I DO! Can I steal it? If I can steal Scotland for a boy, you can steal Brooklynn for a girl from me.

I don't think it's a good idea to name a child after a country (i.e. China, Japan, Mexico, Canada, Ireland, France, etc...).

It's not a terribly bad name, but consider it might be a point for teasing during childhood.
