Please state an example, im writing a proposal (school project) to create a web site for my friends business i need to state the aim and the objective of the web site. thanks

Aim and objective are typically synonyms... unless by "aim" you really mean the "purpose". I think of it this way --

Objective = what
Purpose (aim) = why

What do you want to accomplish with the web site and why is that important to acheive?

Aim -Aim is the overall intent of the essay or work
Objective - The objectives make up the aim.

So, one aim with several objectives to reach that aim.

Objective is something that you have set up to teach your observer from the website. An objective might be to teach a new way to tie shoes

Aim is something that you hope they take away from the website
while the aim is observer taking the new way to tie shoes from the website instead of another message.

Aim is something you strive for whereas objective is something that needs to be done.
