The question isn't clear so there are two possible answers which you are getting at the moment.

If your question is
2 x^ (^ would be a really small 2 and means the number is squared ie multiplied by itself)
You have to work out the squared element first so if x = 3 then x^ would be 3x3 which is 9. Then the sum is quite easy as it is now 2 x 9 = 18

2 x^
2 3^
2 (3x3)
2 x 9

If the second 2 is just a 2 then all you have to do is substitute the x for a 3.

2 x 3 x 2= 12

I hope that helped?

Put the three in where the X is and do the math.

2*3 ^2

(I'm assuming that second 2 means the x is squared - we usually use that little up arrow symbol for that ^)

If you mean 2x2 as two x squared, then the answer is 18.

x squared is 3 x 3 = 9.
9 x 2 = 18

I suppose X2 means X squared?

If so, 2X2 means 2 times X times X.
