No. Microsoft works does not include Word, Powerpoint, Excel, or access. It includes a dumbed down word processor, which is basically equivalent to wordpad, but it is nowhere near Microsoft Word.

Microsoft Works and Microsoft Office are two very different programs. Works is designed for purely family use. Student reports, resumes, and so on. Microsoft Works comes with "Powerpoint Viewer" which allows you to view (not edit) any powerpoint presentation. Most computers will come with a 60 day free trial of Office '03 (or it may come with Office '07 because of most new computers becoming "Vista Compatable.") But you will still have to purchase the software at some point in time.

No.
MS Works is a single program that can act like a word processor and spreadsheet/database.
MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc. are separate, and potentially very powerful business applications.
Don't discount Works however. It really depends on what you want to do.
Let me give you an example. For many years, I was regional treasurer of a national motor club. Being "into" computers, I soon had all the letters, forms and financial records computerised, using Works, which was all I had at the time. Being able to switch from a spreadsheet file to a word processor file, all within the same overall program, was very useful.
Then the head office got computerised, using Word and Excel. Now the incompatibility of files became an issue, so I had to (reluctantly) upgrade to the two "better" programs.
For things like domestic letter writing and accounts, I still rate Works very highly.

Nope, Microsoft Works is it's own office package, with basic spreadsheet, word processing , and database functions. It is NOT MS Office suite, which has Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.

No Works is totally different to Microsoft Office which has word and powerpoint.

No -- MS works is a seperate program all together. Works suite usueally comes with MS Word, but none of the other MS Office components. I believe what you are looking for is MS Office (Word, Excell, Powerpoint, etc.).
