Who ever said that anyone wanted to hear them sing?

A play on Flicka's response which I enjoy is:

Ask the person: "Who sings this song?" They'll stop singing and say the name of the artist. Then reply, "why don't we let them!"

If you say it in jest and with the right attitude, they'll get your point!

That's when I pull out the "You Made Me Realize" EP by My Bloody Valentine and turn it up to a deafening volume, usually followed by the entire "Psychocandy" album by the Jesus and Mary Chain.

My mother in law is this wanna be musician who prides herself as a vocalist. She's an alto who struts around like an overweight Mick Jagger, singing the praises of Yes and Rush and how great Thom Yorke from Radiohead is.

I hate singers, I hate them so much when I was in a band I was the singer/guitarist solely because I hate singers so much. I especially hate people who can't sing in key and subject you to throaty renditions of radio tunes while humming out of tune and time when they come along parts they don't know the words for.

Scum of the universe.

It usually does not bother me if they have a wonderful voice, but if it's painful to listen to them sing, I would say something. There are alot of people that just can't carry a tune.

Just sing along with them. It's a lot more fun to listen to music if you're singing along with it. I get all antsie and twitchy if I can't sing along to something I know. Makes it no fun.

I like it when my girlfriend does.

She can sing pretty well, and that was one of the first things I was attracted to.

I HATED it when my old roommate would though...
