Will there be elections where a woman would run for president someday?

Women have already run for president. Shirley Chisholm in 1972, Patricia Schroeder in 1988 and Elizabeth Dole in 2000 come immediately to mind. If you mean to ask when a woman will in fact be the presidential nominee of a major party, well, we'll just have to wait and see. I'd like to think that it could happen at any time, but there are an awful lot of backward-thinkers in this country who aren't ready to take a woman seriously.

Women have run. Shirley Chisolm, Elizabeth Dole. None have been nominated. Closest was Geraldine Ferraro nominated for VP in 1984 on the Dem ticket. Of course, a woman will run and one will win eventually.

I like Mrs Clinton. I think she would be terrific but I think the first woman president will not be someone on the radar right now.

There are many other nations that have women leaders and it is about time that a woman takes over. Look how screwed up we are now due to lying and cheating men in power. Let a woman handle it, she can cook, clean, be a wife, mother, role model, etc. women are great at multi-tasking and its been proven we are smarter and more mature than guys (starting at a very young age) so I think it is time. It can only go up after Bush's reign anyways.

Hillary is the only lady to ever make a extreme run on the presidency. there will be others. i think we are able to work out a woman president interior of here couple of elections. so far there have been very few women people qualified to be president (in spite of if to be honest Hillary replaced into a minimum of as qualified as Obama, in spite of if that may no longer asserting numerous something). Obama and McCain apologized to seem politically maximum remarkable and kiss people's asses. they did no longer cope with Hillary any further unfairly than they dealt with absolutely everyone else that i could tell. There are people who do no longer cope along with her rather yet they're sinking into the minority. We ain't all informed we are in a position to be in spite of we could desire to be, male or lady. the place are a majority of those people who will let us know that? I particular as hell did no longer meet too a lot of them. enable me rephrase what I suggested until now. Hillary is the 1st to make a extreme run who replaced into everywhere on the edge of being qualified for the activity. Hillary wasn't any further of a pacesetter than Obama replaced into nonetheless. i could've somewhat voted for her over Obama because of the fact I do think of she makes better judgements than he does yet "path blasing" as you spelled it does not make one a good baby-kisser. you appear to be a sort of folk who could vote for somebody because of the fact she's a woman and then turn around and get on people for vote casting for somebody because of the fact they seem to be a guy.

Yes! I think it is way past time that we had a female president. Put the boys on the bench for a while. They are definitely not winning this game for us.

Personally I hope not. Don't get me wrong. I am a woman but I don't want a woman running the country what with hormonal mood swings and all. I could just see me during PMS! Okay Hugo Chavez, where's that nuke button! And you Iran, I'm sick of you too!
