Photography skills are definitely neater, albeit, fairly expensive, until you can successfully commercialize your potential into a good venture, in which case, you will be on the receiving side, in terms of money! Fairly rich entrepreneur...!

In nursing, there is always the risk of allergies, infections and a monotonous salary - add to it, the bonded shift timings and the hours you have to do jobs in standing position, ruining your own back-bone, legs, etc., even having to lift heavy patients for changing of bed sheets, etc., etc...Besides, people, nowadays, do NOT treat you like, as though you were, Florence Nightingale!

Knowlege is a light weight to carry.
Treat photography as a paying hobby until it gets in the way of you day-job.
I have several friends who are professional photographers and they say the market is overcrowded.

I don't know where you live but nursing or any medical career is booming right now. Don't give up your photography, as it sounds like you love it too much to give up on it. Weigh your options realisitically, then decide.

It depends on how much risk is involved. Generally speaking, go with the career that you would enjoy most. The work that makes you happier in life, will also make your off time life happy too. Go for what makes you feel your best. Good Luck! :)
