they would be doing their normal every day work out and weight training. I was wondering how people during the 1800's would react to that kind of person? would they (people from 1700s to 1800s.) think that the person was a weirdo?

Perhaps they would .. but someone from our time would definitely beat anyones best time from back then. Good Luck! :)

In general they would likely excel. BUT, It would to a great extent depend on whether they were placed there as the are NOW or grew up there. Have you ever seen clothing in museums of 18th-19th Century people. They were QUITE less in body size. Even the average woman athlete now would seem of superior size and strength then.

Some detriment and levelling off factors might be diet and working out conditions and apparati, but in a competition I'd be betting on a 21st Century man or woman over the 18-19th Century man.... their women would be home cookin' the vittles (maybe like the 22nd Century man

No steroids a little more knowledge they would think they are the same just a little weird.

They would not have their drug supply or their supply of "ladies" or their supply of adoring fans which would ne the hardest to accept.
