one of my friends made me a cd with music on it but whenever i put it onto my drive itunes does not pick it up so i went to my computer it comes up read only is there any way to un read it??

As people have pointed out, all music CDs are read-only (the same with all commercial data CDs, and 99% of the CDs that people burn).
You have to "rip" it into MP4 format for it get into iTunes (as I recall). That requires some software that you might find if you look into it.

I am so sorry, OK i am not, but you cannot put music on a READ only CD, if you could what would it be called?...Oh ya!! A CD R-W!!!!!!! YOU STUPID PERSON!!!!

You can copy the music files on your hard disk.
