The latest research indicates that homosexuality may occur "in utero". Identical twins do not always have the same sexual orientation, but most of the time they do. In studies of male siblings it was shown that younger brothers are more likely to be gay than older brothers. The hypothesis is that something-hormones, antibodies-? help determine sexual orientation.

OMG - this question just will not go away! And 90% of the time no one believes me anyway. I realize you don't know this but this same question is asked like every single day.
The answer is "I am what I am and that is all I am"
I was born gay, I pretended to be straight for a very few short years that did not work very well and made me terribly unhappy, I owned up to being gay and have been happy ever since.
I was born gay.

Most people believe you are born that way. There is some arguement as to whether, some, make a choice to be bi-sexual later in life .. say as a teen or adult. But, as I said, most believe you are born that way. I don't think anyone really knows the answer at this time. Good Luck! :)

I guess it depends on your defintion of homosexual. I've heard it used to describe both sexual preference and actual same sex acts. I recall a Psych professor once saying that gay/lesbian was the most appropriate term to use concerning a person who actually engages in same sex, sex acts. While I don't think your attraction to a person of the same sex is a choice, having sex with a person of the same sex is. I'm a bisexual woman. I was neither born with a man's di_k in my mouth nor a woman's pu_si on my face. I recall liking both girls and guys at an early age but once I started having sex, then choice came into play. Even if you choose to only have sex with men or only have sex with women, it's still a choice. Because an alternative to either one or both (as in my case) would be abstinence.

I know we are born this way because from the first awakening of my gender identity I knew I liked both sexes. I love women and I love men when I was a child I wanted to marry a couple so that I could be with men and women. As a teenager I fantasized about finding a married couple and being their House boy satisfying both of them. It used to be my fantasy to be involved in a threesome so that I could orally perform on a woman while her husband took her from behind doggy style. If that doesn't qualify me as bisexual I don't know what does.
I didn't learn this behavior I was like this from age 5 or so. I always wanted both.

NOBODY KNOWS FOR SURE!!
That said..
I think the word 'choice' [as in 'someone chooses to be'] should be ripped apart and stomped on. It implies a conscious ACT. No one wakes up one morning and DECIDES to be gay. Whether or not one decides to have sex - IS a choice - but the desire FOR sex is NOT. But that still doesn't necessarily mean that someone is 'born gay'. Craig!! :o)

I believe it was God's choice that all life should reproduce without sex. The very first life God put on this planet could reproduce without sex, and still does.
For almost a billion years, life existed on this planet without the need for sex.
Its also true that God brought his only son into this world immaculately, without the need for sex.
So, in a real sense, sexuality, homo and hetero is a choice that many lifeforms have made in spite of the divine will of God. Unfortunately, through evolutionary pressures which are clearly inspired by Satan, we are all born sexual, and share from birth this original sin.

I believe they are born the way they are, just like everyone else. You may be blond, they may be gay. I don't believe for one single second that anyone would choose that lifestyle simply because it must be so difficult.
