So far as proper qualified professions are concerned, almost all the professional bodies prohibits its members / professionals to advertise and solicit work. Very limited options with very limited ways and means are available to advertise one's profession and seek work. CS/CA/ICWA/Lawyers/Doctors/Engineers/Architects are a few examples of such professions which regulate advertisement of its members. You would be required to go by the limiting lines and stay within limits to avoid professional mis-conduct.

For the people who need professional services, even though people would be requiring professional services, they have many other compelling and whimsical reasons to choose a professional for the services. Due to this habitual immaturity, the results are everywhere around us - - and this vicious circle keep revolving till it is too late for an entrepreneur, enterprise / business and professional.
