Yes, Americans get those two mixed up all the time.
Besides "The London Bridge" is boring... and if you want to get technical, Tower Bridge is in London and Fergie doesn't state : "The London Bridge", she just says London Bridge which could refer to any bridge crossing the River Thames, or any other bridge for that matter in London.

Yes. Most of them think that Tower Bridge is London Bridge. If you showed them a picture of London Bridge, they wouldn't recognise it.
