After Stanley comes in from the (radioactive?) rain, the medical person tells them to give him "iodine." He then drinks POVIDONE IODINE, which is a deadly poison. While "iodine" is a good preventative to avoid radiation damage to the thyroid, it must be POTASSIUM IODIDE (aka "KI"), which is safe to consume.

No, but I appreciate the information (in case there ever is an actual nuclear war). Also, the story line of Jericho sounds interesting ... maybe I'll check out the program.

I did not catch that, nor would I have. But thanks for pointing it out. Maybe he didn't drink enough to kill him, but the poison might be what made him have the pounding headache and want to throw up.....
