Ok, the choice you face is a rather easy one to make. What do you need/value more in a cellphone ? Do you want a great camera+great mp3 player+ease of use coupled with compact size and great battery life ? Yes ? w810i is the one for you.

Before I go on, let me tell you the p910i is a smartphone, simply speaking, it runs on its own OperatingSystem (Symbian, like Windows for your pc) rather than Java that's used by other "dumb"phones (including the w810i). The advantages you get with using a smartphone are, a possibility to add a variety of 3rd party applications like MS office, media players, to say the least.

Personally I think, smartphones are rather slow, keep hanging and auto-rebooting at every glitch/delay they encounter, and are a hassle all along. Unless, its a really good one, like the upcoming Nokia N95 (expected no sooner than 2007Q1) LOL.

Anyways, if you HAVE to have a smartphone, go for the N- or E- series by Nokia, rather than SonyEricsson. The nokia phones have a UI (Series 60) that's ages better than SE's (UIQ).

G'luck :) I gotta say, I use the w810i for meself, and I love it. But then, it suits MY needs. Maybe not YOURS.

I like the w810i. it's a really cool phone and you can get it for free from this place: http://www.selectivemobile.com/details/Sony_Ericsson_W810i_Walkman_for_Cingular.asp?aid=yh&ref=w810i when you buy with 2-year contract with Cingular. You'd love this phone.
