I hope so. I try to learn all about the customs, ways of people, etiquettes before I go somewhere. Got to get on with people and get accustomed to their way of life and thinking even if sometimes it contradicts with yours. Sometimes it is difficult to achieve a balance but it can be done. Humour brings (although there are different ways of humour alright.....and mine is not always suited to some people) brings people together and got to learn what is offensive and what is not.
If one starts to think that their ways are the ONLY WAYS.....too bad ! There is much to learn wherever you go.

I would think so, since I live in a Tourist Destination. LOL.. I just make a point not to do anything of the silly things tourist here do, when I go away. LOL

Yep. Like the girl says, live in tourist destination, you learn what NOT to be like. Besides, I like and respect different cultures too much not to be a good tourist.

But if I stay at an "all inclusive" the only place I visit is the bar. And the swimming pool.

I think so. I'm polite, I don't litter, I buy local products and clothing, I eat at local restaurants and not chains and I ask questions that aren't completely stupid.
