Morgan Spurlock's documentary film "Supersize Me" specifially nails McDonald's but also brings in other documentation on the perils of fast food. He also references a book "Fast Food Nation" (and I'm sorry but I don't remember the author's name). If you do an internet search, you'll probably turn up tons of stuff.
In any case, you may never eat at a fast food "restaurant" again!
