look at the history and current situation of religion in the world and honestly tell me we wouldn't be better off without any religion at all. please explain your answer

absolutely! It is a form of mind control and more people had died for religion than anything else. Some of them are really dangerous. I think that any time people start to "follow" and stop thinking for themselves it is asking for trouble. I also know people who use god as a drug, an excuse not to take care of their own lives, "let god sort it out"

Think about not having any religion at all. What's the point in our existence then? Being born, having a nice life and dying? If that is the case, we would all be wandering around very, very depressed thinking about our eventual death. The reason we do think about it and the reason religion is so very important to so many people,is because we have been given the gift of the ability to think about our eternal salvation. If it is not something that is important to you and you only live for the here and now, what is the point? If you say self-satisfaction, then good for you; enjoy it because it's absolutely useless.

Organized religion is for the birds. One religion thinks their beliefs are the only right ones and the next religion thinks their beliefs are the only right ones. Myself, I read the Bible, talk to God, and let Him tell me what is right or wrong. I don't need another faulty human being telling me what is or is not acceptable. I think God does fine without any help. I think the problem comes when people start telling their version of things and leave God out of it.

yes religion is strange people who say they want peace and love but believe in different Gods then are angry and kill others because of different beliefs isnt the out come suppose to be the same though? and i find the some religious people to be the most judgemental

Yes. It seems all it does is cause fights and wars. No one can agree what is "right".
