Technology is all around us. Even your house is a technology. because everything that takes shape or have purpose that are discovered and/or invented by humans are considered as techonology. It's just simple, if some guy invented something which is really usefull, then he sells/promote his idea to a manufacturer, then the manufacturer started to reproduce the product, that's how techology affects society.

The inventor of the Model T- (the first car) Henry Ford was the first to make an 8 hour work week and from him it spread accross the country till all the country was doing it....before that people work more than 40 hours and on Sat. and Sunday....
That was a major change....before the computer....people had to type and re-type stuff....now you just correct a document....
