I went to Iceland 7 years ago. I was only there for a short weekend. It truly is a beautiful country. In fact it is one of the safest destinations I have been to. Extremely low crime rate. Iceland is very expensive though, because they need to import so many products. You can easily pay $7.00 US for a beer.

You will fly into Keflavik International airport and the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik is about 30 min from the airport.

Because we were there for such a short time I wasn't able to do a whole lot. Must do is going to the Blue Lagoon. Nothing is better than sitting in the hot springs, mudding yourself up and the steam in your face. Beautiful scenery around with the mountains all around you.

Some friends of ours did the snowmobiling; we didn't because it was full to get on. They had fun they said though. The sleds with the tour company they went with were older though from what I could see in the pictures.

We took a walk to the mall there in Reykjavik to go check out the Hard Rock Cafe. I had to get a shot glass and my friend had to get her hurricane glass. The place was packed, but it was of course a Sat. night.

We went in March and we did have to bring coats, but I remember walking around most of the time with them unzipped. So it wasn't very cold or anything, but you still did need that jacket.

We spent most of our time at the Dublin Pub in Reykjavik which is a very history filled pub. My favorite type of bar has character to it.

I highly recommend Iceland though! I can't wait to one day go back again myself!

If there is anything further that I can help you with please feel free to email me and I can send you my contact information.

I am from Iceland and have lived there almost all my life. I love it there. I know tourists enjoy their stay there too. There's a lot to see and do and it's a different experience than when visiting most other countries. I don't think you'd be disappointed. Be ready for shockingly high prices though, Iceland is very expensive.

If you need any particular information you can e-mail me and I'll try to help.

Yes, it's totally awesome for someone between ages 18 - 30. There's clubs and parties every night and everyone goes buck wild... a totally fun time. Better than Vegas, better than any other place I've been to.
