With all the devastation, could be New York. Any country that undergoes a war, is left in ruins. America Rebuilt Japan, Germany and most of Europe after the 2nd World war.
Look at the countries now that have suicide bombers on the streets, car bombs and the such, a waste land. Wasting lives, wasting their country.
If the people ever make up their minds what direction they want to go, then all these places could return to their former beauty. Yes, I am thankfull we dont have wholesale slaughter on our streets from war. If we let our guard done, turn our backs on the enemy and try to ignore the facts, like we did prior to Pearl Harbor, WE could be like the video. WE could be like Baghdad. WE could be like any country out there that has had a war or terrorist attack.

I don't open these sites, too many viruses. But the country REALLY started going down hill when the ugliest first lady ever (Ladybird Johnson) decided she was going to beautify it.
