I'm looking for a rendition I can find on-line or disc, and it doesn't matter if it's an old or newer artist.
Please don't suggest Lang Lang.

my cuz had an orchestral of the no. 2 (1-6 on this album) done by the London Symphony that's pretty good. Kinda cool to hear it done by a full orchestra.

I just checked and Amazon has it with samples at http://www.amazon.com/Liszt-Enesco-Rhapsodies-No-1/dp/B0000057KX

The piano versions are all different as far as interpretation, so it's tough to choose

i does no longer leap from Fantasie Impromptu to Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. you will no longer have the flexibility to are conscious of it this way in it sluggish. i'd recommend which you learn another products in the previous drawing near this, this is a organic virtuosic piece. some suggestions: Beethoven's late sonatas (Hammerklavier, and so on) Chopin's Etudes, Scherzi (scherzo), or the two huge Polonaises (Grande Polonaise Brillante or Heroic) in case you could grasp all of those, then circulate directly to the Rhapsodies, those Concertoes are the main confusing products you would be able to desire to do, alongside with the Rachimanoff's

Sorry, I am a bit slow on my classical right now...thinking Liszt was principally a pianist??? If that's the case I can think of no better example than Van Cliburn. I hope I have been of some assistance. If not email me or IM me and refresh my memory because I know I've heard the piece.
