On "Unwrapped" they did a show about ketchup. If you go to foodnetwork.com, maybe you can find the episode and find the answer. I know they talked about it, I just can remember the reason they call it that.

I suppose "fancy ketchup" would be Heinz. And "regular ketchup" would be some no-name brand. The difference would not be noticable in taste, color, or consistancy. But you would probably see the difference in ingredients. Check the label. And Enjoy!

calling it "Fancy Ketchup" is just the makers trying to make you think its better than the other ketchups. if you get it down to the ingredients they are probably all the same, personally i like Heinz the best.

What's Fancy Ketchup? I've never heard of it. Is it a brand name, like KRAFT?
Where is this so called "fancy ketchup" sold? Is it like the grey poupon of ketchups?
