I understand you have to get a P.h.D. etc. but my question stems from not knowing what subfield goes with my different behavior interests here are some.

People who are drunk?
Physical trauma leading to depression?
Videogames(players&people who make them)
Marriage issues
research
That is all I can think of thanks.

There are a lot of options for people at the Master's level so depending on what you want to do a Ph.D. is not necessary. If you are a people person (empathetic, good listening skills) I would recommend going into counseling. You could specialize in addictions counseling and could even do some research in the field. You could do this with a Master's in clinical and become a licensed counselor (LCPC). If you are more of a research oriented person look into experimental psychology programs or statistics. There are plenty of jobs at the Master's level for researchers and assistants at hospitals and places like NIDA (national Institute of Drug Abuse). I would recommend that you check out the APA web site (http://www.apa.org/). They have many divisions that focus on the different careers and interest in psychology. You may even want to subscribe to some of the professional journals (many have student rates) to get a better feel for the issues. Also I suggest looking at the job lists. What kind of jobs are available and what are the requirements.

sounds like you're in touch in clinical Psychology. that is what you spot in videos and issues the position there is the Psychotherapist and affected individual mendacity on the settee. "perfect" is an exceedingly subjective word, so no you could allow you to understand what's ideal for you as someone. fairly some those with PhDs in Psychology develop into professors at faculties and Universities, and that takes many, many years of school!

Just secretly get high with them and they'll tell you everything in mass detail. And if you get them drunk, they'll tell you more then you'd ever want to learn in a single human.
