I am going to be driving 6+ hours tomorrow up to Minnesota. Any ideas about how to pass the time?

Make a killer cd with all your fave songs on it -that should kill about 2 hours, stop at some of the little towns and pick up food to snack on that makes time go a bit while driving, get a book on tape and listen to it, listen to talk radio esp if they've got some good topics on.

We used to pick out certain cars or trucks and tally them as we see them. The other person has to see it before you can tally it. You can be as descriptive as you want to make it more of a challenge. Example: Black Dodge pick-ups only going the opposite way. We would pick two to really keep your eyes moving. You could even do barns with silos on the right side of the road...just an idea to keep thing adventuresome. Happy Travels!

oh i like the question me and my friends can come up with lots of fun (but to others) stupid things to do

if you are travelling with others tell riddles or bring cards

do you know how to play mofia
good fun card game

also some gas stations have these dorky little travelling game books that have lists to fill out like the different kinds of trucks you can find or see if you can fill in all of the states from lisence plates (Hawaii and Alaska are really hard but once we did it)

and there is always i spy but that can get really old really fast

and if you like to read and you arent driving you could read a book

or if you like to crochet of knit those are good time takers

there are so many things that you could do you could do i cant list them all

Before you going, Make a quick list of things to look for on the way.
just stupid items like:
A large spoon on a sign
A picture of a little boy pulling a wagon
A gray dog
A hook & ladder firetruck
A military billboard
and more. Just use your imagination.
Good luck and Travel Safely

I take the letters from license plates I see and using all the letters in the order given come up with the shortest word possible.

Will you be driving alone? Burn good cds, get an audio cd, a cd of your favorite comedian, bring your dvd player, http://dir.yahoo.com/Recreation/Travel/Automotive/Road_Trips/Car_Travel_Games/, travel games, etc..i just listen to good music the whole time, talk, eat a lot and have coffee.

If you are not the driver then sleep!!
