Do you believe that the Foley scandal just happened,by chance, to culminate now?

Or did the democrats sit on it to use at an opportune time during an election year? If so, aren't they they just as culpable as Hastart and others who allegedly covered this up? This is indeed serious, Hastart and others should have to answer, but if other politians (democrats) sat on this until now, in order to gain politically from it, shouldn't they have to answer as well?

To be honest, it is very suspect that this scandal happened several months ago, but just happens not to come to light until shortly before the election.

Schmorgen- It's nice to hear talk of personal responsibility from someone, who I'm assuming is a democrat. Too bad I didn't hear this talk during the 90's. The Democrat culture then was encouraging people to blame everybody else for what is happening to them. I hope your sentiment is sincere.

I wouldn't put this kind of poltical manuevering past either side! Neither party cares as much for the kids in their charge as they do for their own carreer!

We need to kick the game-players out of office, which ever side they are playing on!

Of course not, the release of the information was planned, apparently for a long time. There are several tight races around the country and there is a series of ads addressing this, the ads are pretty much the same just a different dem talking. The ads here started the day after the foley thing was made public. I am not certain about other states but there is no way they put the ad together overnight and then did the same exact same thing in other states. To get the DNC money those candidates were told in advance that they were going to do these ads.

I really hope the FBI uncovers the truth about all of this and that some Dems end up going to jail over it. It really is criminal.

I am amazed that anyone would support a political party that would stoop to these levels to get control of the country.

And that in and of itself should make everyone take pause, "THEY WANT TO CONTROL THE COUNTRY". Scary phrase isn't it?

if anyone knew about it, democrat or republican, they should be in trouble. However, you won't hear that from a democrat, they will NEVER admit to knowing. although... I'm just waiting. I think everyone should just wait.... lets see who's foot is in their mouth at the end of all this.
and once again, Foley should be PUNISHED!

There was a grand total of 1 Dem on the page committee. No one told him. If Republicans don't like the fallout from scandal, they shouldn't send inappropriate and illegal solicitations to underage boys. Stop trying to blame everyone but the guilty.
