what do some people have against fat people?

is it really theyre problem if someone else is fat?
why do they put them down like they dont already feel bad enough about themselves?
what do they think is so special about them that they can make other people feel like crap?

Fat people are no different than skinny people. There's an old saying - If thin is in, fat's where it's at. The size of a person doesn't tell you anything about a person. Not really. I know wonderful fat and thin people. I also fat and thin people that I would shoot if I could get by with it.

In response to a couple of your answers - Fat people are not always jolly. That only applies to Santa Claus, lol. And, fat people do not necessarily have low self esteem. An anorexic has low self esteem!

because the world is made up of some really harsh and hurtful people. being fat is not always by choice, some ppl are suffering from thyroid and other such diseases or are on medication that causes them to gain weight. i think they are an easy target for ppl who have their own self esteem issues to deal with but if we all look around, there are far greater problems in the world that need our attention instead of picking on the kid/person who's overweight, skinny, nerdy, slutty, whatever the hangup... move along and play nice! who knows if we're going to see tomorrow so be nice today! SMILE

beacuse they are an easy target - they already have low self esteem, so often dont fight back.

people bully overweight people as they dont fit in with what people think others should look like and that being overweight is the individuals fault - no-one chooses to wear glasses / have a disability - but there is something that can be done about being overweight.

I've often wondered that myself. I can't believe how many "fat" questions or comments are put on this site. I think it's cruel and insensitive.
Some people are just down right mean and have nothing better to do.

I have nothing against fat people,if they are happy then thats great,I do wish ppl would take more care of their bodies for the simple health concerns,but a person is still valuable no matter what size they are.

My boss told me yesterday that the can of tuna I was eating for lunch was bad for me because it had mercury in it. That can of tuna was 100 calories, zero grams of fat, and had 21 grams of protein.

That same boss eats fries almost every day and fried chicken at least once a week. He is at approximately 160 pounds over weight and he breaks a sweat walking a city block.

So, you tell me who has something against whom. I will take my mercury over cardiac arrest any day.
