I'm looking for a new foundation for my normail to dry fair usually clear complexion. I want something that looks natural, is easy to put on, and blends into my colr so it isn't heavy or masklike. I have tried Clinique Perfectly Real which I like and MAC Studio Fix which is ok but I'm not sure it is the right color. Any tips on wich foundation I should use? Please don't say Bare Escentuals, I'm tired of the hype.

Try Prescriptives. I think this brand is great in foundations. They can also make custom blend foundations for you that match your skin completely.

LOL, I'm NOT a Bare Escentuals fan either...or any other mineral makeup for that matter. Definitely doesn't live up to the hype.

If you want a foundation with pretty good coverage, try L'Oreal True Match, it's great. If you don't need that much coverage, Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Enhancer is a tinted moisturizer that is extremely well formulated with sunscreen, retinol, the works. Both of these are really good products.

You know I have the same problem. I find foundations I like and feel good on my skin, but I can't find the right shade. A friend suggested trying Prescriptives brand, since they mix and match your own foundation, right there and then. It's more expensive but I'm tired of not finding the right shade. So I'm going to try it. Good luck!

If you are looking for a flawless appearance the best bet is to use a spray on foundation. For example, sally hanson fast and flawless airbrush make up. Unlike foundations, airbrushing gives you a flawless appearance and hides blemishes better. It also provides long lasting stay and is water resistant.
