teenage boys?? I mean, with all of the teacher scandals these days....was that a smart thing to do?? Can horny teen boys really be taken advantage of....I mean, really??? What did you think of the movie?? It is from 2004, with Jeff Bridges and Kim Basinger! I loved the scene with Mimi Rogers trying to run Jeff's character over with her car! That was hilarious!!!

Great movie.

In my single days I loved older women... seasoned women... they knew where we stood as a relationship... no games... just the moment.

First of all this movie was based on a writers family and had nothing to do with schools. As for the teacher schandals, they are for the most part B.S. A teacher has a nude photo of her placed on the internet and she is bad. We have bigger problems to worry about then that, like the other teacher that showed the students the site. We live in a sad sociaty that is too up tight. We are to be the free country, but we have to pay a lot for it.
As for the movie it was good, I think that it does hit on a side of America that we do not talk about as much and that is that women can turn to younger partners as much as men.

I think the movie was really trying to give a snapshot of a very dysfunctional family. There was so much that was twisted about their situation that the least disturbing situation was the sex between the depressed mother and the teenage boy. He wasn't 13 or anything. He was probably 17. I thought that the movie was neither good or bad. It was sad.

Just because a movie shows something happening doesn't mean that it "glorifies" that something. People always say this about something they don't agree with. Yeesh!!! And teenaged boys are, and always have been, horny. They grow up to be horny men. I wouldn't worry about it so much.

No! I have a teenage boy and I don't need some desperate misguided woman pushing herself on him - it's hard enough keeping the high school girls at a distance - never heard of the movie - don't care. You're living in "movie world," fantasy land - get real!
