If you have an olive complexion it is when you have an even skin tone and not light or dark, it is medium skin tone, but to have olive skin tone, it has to be natural not make-up. You will hear that a lot when children are small too. It is a skin tone.

White is not white is not white. It has to do with undertones in one's coloring. I am a Mary Kay consultant so I see the differences. Some people have a neutral coloring to their Ivory skin, say. Others have a decidedly sallow complexion, that is, yellow in undertone. Others while still Ivory may have the olive, or ruddy. If I would line up 5 people and asked them to hold out one arm side by side, one would look neutral, one would look yellow, the other have a greenish hue, the other pinkish and yet another more pink. Usually mediterranean heritage carries the Olive undertone, Anglos have more of a ruddy undertone.

all people have undertones. it's what makes your skin color have depth. some people have a yellowish, red, and even blue undertone in their skin pigmentation. olive describes a flesh tone with olive greenish undertones. it's really a very beautiful flesh color. it has nothing to do with race or ethnic group. there are many people of various background with olive undertoned skin.

olive skin is the color tone that you are.. it is not that you have an even tan or that you are white.. it is that of when you are just darker than white but not brown... you would be inbetween colors and are a color that might look "olive green" but not that color just pigment of!! its called low melanin..

olive skin means you have a yellowish tint to you. It means you have some color to you, as opposed to bone pale.
