id really like to attend one. it looks like fun. do you buy tickets? and if so, from who and where? do you actually get to meet the stars?

You usually get invited. You don't have to be famous though. A lot of people who work in the film, music and dvd industries and who work in toys and licensed products receive invitations. You tend not to meet the stars - they are usually kept separate at the after show parties in their own VIP areas and even then if you do share their space, the etiquette is not to disturb them.

I'm afraid it's invite only! Aside from the odd celebrity, most of the invitees are people who work for the studio or worked on the movie. Yahoo! Movies however often runs competitions to win premiere tickets so keep an eye out on there for some - in particular, sign up for the weekly newsletter as they have new competitions in there every week.

You can win tickets...you can sometimes buy tickets and the money goes to charity. You can do a search on Google and see what comes up.
You can also bid for tixs on EBay
