Check the yellow pages
check the classified ads - many papers have a "handyman for hire" section.
Check with a plumbing supply house for a recommendation. Tell them what you want done, and they can probably recommend several plumbers that can do what you want.

DON'T use Reny Plumbing
I did and it took them 3 months to finish a job that should have taken less than a week. AND they went over the estimate they gave me. AND they didn't complete the job (they left a hole in my wall that I had to finish myself).

I don't know where you are in Houston but Hick's plumbing in Montrose has always been professional and punctual with me.
