I read "Poison Heart", Dee Dee's Biography, and he said they always wanted to be famous in US, like they were in Europe and South America. I donno about nowadays, but he said that.

what are you talking about? they were huge inthe way they wanted they didnt want to be sellouts
stephen king used their songs in about all of his movies
they had their own movie Rockin ROll Highschool
and a whole new generation is wearing their shirts and listening to their music
I saw them 3 times in 89

They were a BIG success in the US ! You still hear Ramone songs on the radio, see Ramone references on popular TV shows & can go to tribute Ramone bands gigs.

The Ramones still have a big following in the States.

ps: é mais fácil eles eles fazeram "SUCCESS", em vez de "succes". Alias.. essa na verdade é a resposta!

Deve ser pq na Europa eles fizeram "a big succes" e não "a big SUCCESS"
