consumers can expect inflation to continue and gas prices have a minimal effect on other prices ... if anything expect prices to go higher as marketers predict consumers have more money in their pocket.

Well, the Republicans have been telling us that they brought the prices down...who will they blame when they go back up after the elections??
Probably the Democrats. Now, since the Republicans have been in power for more than the last 2 years, who's fault was the severe spike to $4 or more a gallon last year?? The Republicans, & they will let it go up again when they make up an excuse to blame it on the Dems...

As I see it, there are several facets to this fact.

1. major oil companies and their gas-station subordinates are pulling a fast one on consumers in hopes of helping pro-big oil candidates in the November election.
Voters typically have short-term memory and if things look good, even on the short term, they'll re-elect the current office holders.

2. there is a glut of crude oil on the market and OPEC nations are curbing output. You and I will soon see a rise in crude oil, and subsequently, gasoline prices.

3. Actions in North Korea can only heighten the fear of war on a new front. This, combined with problems in Iraq, the threat in Iran will help boost crude prices before years end.

Mark my words.

After the elections, they will rise again. Bet on it. They are only low now b/c the Republicans control oil, and they want to stay in office so best to show they arent going to continue to rape us in gas prices. Watch it, re-elect Reps the gas will go to the sky.

First of all, inflation is not impacting gas prices. As long as hurrican season stays under control and production stays up then prices may continue to fall.

you truly won't be able to be nervous about one and not in any respect the different. between the excuses for the intense fee of rice is the intense fee of gas. because gas is so intense priced, extra soybeans are being grown for bio-fuels. a lot corn is getting used to make ethanol. that is reducing the accessible nutrition plants, which drives up the cost of rice. Coupled with that is the environmental differences in part (a minimum of) brought about through the outcome of carbon being emitted into our surroundings through all the gas we are using. also, transforming into beef is between the most inefficient procedures of using plants for nutrition. The shipping of nutrition from very some distance away also drives up the carbon value of nutrition. eating regionally grown meals will outcome in a lot less carbon being emitted into our surroundings. remarkable is the idea of shipping water from Fiji worldwide. even with if extra trees are being planted through that organisation, to declare a adverse carbon product is deceptive. till the water is sent through sailboat, we are dumping carbon into the ambience to deliver worldwide, a product that already exists there.

If you think still paying $2.13 is cheap, there is a problem. You are just used to seeing 2.90 or 3.10 all year long. But for those of you that like paying 2.13, just wait till it hits 3.60 and 4.00..... Save your money!
