Is "FAR" a person, place, thing, or idea?? Not in any way I can think of.

We threw the ball far. Far tells where we threw. Threw is a verb, thus far is an adverb.

its it not a person, place or thing. so no it is not a noun. it is an adjective or adverb. it describes either a noun or a verb.
