I'm having severe cramps and nausea and all I had with me was aspirin, but I was having too much pain, so I left work and got some Midol. I'm wondering if an hour after taking aspirin is too early to take the Midol.

Did you actually take asprin or was it acetominaphin? What's in the Midol - is it acetominephin? If you took asprin and this is acet, you should wait at least 90 minutes, or up to 2 hours before you take it. Motrin(ibuprofin) is actually better for cramps, and you can take that 2 hours after asprin or acet. You can also take up to 600 mg of iburpofin veery 4-6 hours as needed.
Feel better!

Hi there !

When you are having nausea....usually aspirin is not advisable for any sort of pain....!
Reason is that... some preparations of aspirin induces gastric upset and further aggrevates nausea ..okay ?

Taking Midol 2 hours after aspirin ingestion does not usually create problems....provided your stomach is NOT empty...

But ..the best thing is...pick up the phone...ring up your family consultant..and take his advice..before doing such things...
because...."half knowledge is very dangerous"...right ?

best wishes..and hope you would have recovered from your sickness...!

No, you should be able to take the Midol. It would be like taking Tylenol and Advil. My doctor says you can alternate them every 2 hours. Make sure you don't have an empty stomach though.
