It goes too long causing the starter to grind while the engine is running. The shop I got it installed at is no longer in business and I have no paperwork anylonger. Just thought maybe there is something I can do if anyone can tell me.

that remote starter is made by compustar... i have installed a few of these myself but i do so many different brands i do not recall the exact procedure for re-learning the tach setting on them ... here is the link to the manufacturer website that has a dealer locator... just find the next dealer near you and have them reset it.

No yet I wish i did. Even theory it does not get to single digit temp's here in Cali we've had a chilly streak of our very own recently. i might arise in the morning press the button to start the vehicle then it may be advantageous and toasty with the aid of the time I have been given in it to bypass to artwork.

Sounds like the remote start module isn't seeing the rpm signal or the module it self may have internal problems..You might search the net for the manufactures web site...
