It is all they have, and with many Americans going through life with their eyes wide shut, it works. This is a very sad comment on our population. The Republicans joke about the war they have created, think nothing of the massive burden of debt they have laid on backs of ALL Americans who will pay for the past 6 years for the next 50 years! Bush jokes about "weapons of mass destruction" while our troops die daily...yes, very funny indeed. His agenda is to line the pockets of only the rich. They, the Republicans, are in terror at the thought that Dems may gain control of both houses, for they hopefully will initiate impeachment proceedings at once. Republicans once stood for fiscal responsibility and justice for States rights. Today, they stand for nothing but the individual gains of the rich, no matter at whose expense. They lie, cheat, and spin. These are the tools of tyrants.

I'm not made afraid by what Republicans say.
Why do Democrats use scare tactics like comparing Bush to Hitler and saying Republicans are trying to take away all our rights?

when you can't rise above the opposition then all you have left is to try to beat everyone else down. eg. Bush slamming Kerry's military record so no one would look at his. (Oh, the horrors that Georgie must have witnessed and the risks he had to endure in the national guard; makes me think that even his daddy knew that if he went into REAL warfare he'd probably just run right out into the middle of it and die because he was too lame not to)

If you have something that works why change. As long as they have the people scared of terrorists our minds are off the deaths of our soldiers over there, t he poor economy, poor education system, no medical insurance etc, etc.

it is necessary for them to instill fear in others in order for them to remain in control. When people are afraid, they let their fears take control over their better judgement and common sence.
