It depends on how much he contributes. If he rides the rest of te lineup he loses, but if he takes the team on his back then MAYBE Yankees fans will let him off the hook.

Only a miracle moment that would seal the fate of the postseason will soften the fans. He needs at least 2 men on base, 2 outs, the yankees down by two, being on the bottom of the 9th, and bring it all together with a God given miracle similar to Aaron Boone's. Prior to that he needs lots of RBIs all postseason to give it cred or it would be considered just a lucky shot.

NY fans booed Dimaggio, they booed Yogi and Micky. Jeter was booed last year when he started off the season batting .216. If Alex has a decent postseason he'll get some slack when the season starts but that's it. In Yankeeland its what have you done for me today.
Today's Game :Bases loaded called strike 3 next at bat called strike three. 'Nuff said.

No, because no one is worth $252,000,000 to play a kids game. For that kind of money the fans expect him to win the triple crown every year, and rightfully so. Point is, he doesn't mix well with his team mates so I don't think he'll be around for too many years.

Depends if it's because of him or in spite of him. BTW he just got the dreaded backwards K with the bases loaded. Maybe Torre should move into the 9 spot.

No, because A-Rod still sucks. He didn't win the ring the rest of his team did. He was just along for the ride.

I don't think he deserves a ring. His teammates do. Hell, they're the ones who are getting the jobs done. He's just there cuz he's gettin' paid a lot so why not play him anyway?

Maybe for this year, but they will be bashing him again next year. He is a decent ball player of course, but he doesn't produce the kind of stats that warrant his ridiculous salary...
