In the military, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.
The answer may someday save somebody's life, maybe the life of the person who asks the question.
But I have seen many questions on here with such obvious answers that the question was probably not necessary.
Some of the people on here are young children; some people on here have room-temperature IQs, and others are too close to a situation to figure things out.
Does that help to answer your question?

It relies upon on the class to no rely if or no longer the question could be stupid. I evaluate stupid inquiries to be those while somebody turns precise around and asks a similar ingredient that your have been basically speaking approximately! It takes place each and every of the time on excursions and at lectures.

1. What is the number for 9-1-1?
2. I want to visit the Holy Land.
a. I don't want to go by boat
b. I don't want to go by plane
c. I want to go for free
3. How many girls named "Ashley" are in Stow, Ohio?
4. Where are the books? (this is a library, look around)
5. Will you do my taxes for me?

When I taught school, that was my mantra. I said it a lot. However, over the years the kids, the parents, and a lot of people in general have constantly proved that wrong. I have since changed that to "the only bad question is the one not asked." I'm sure that one day that too will be proved wrong.

No because I know better. There are stupid questions. They are
asked by stupid people. So actually, the question isn't stupid, it's
the one who asks it.(the poser). Thereby a Stupid Question by
default.
