Here's one that I'll probably be the only one voting for -- TOM HANKS. He gets my vote because he has true versatility. He has been able to do comedy, both as a straight man like in "Sleepless in Seattle" and as the goof-ball as in "Turner and Hooch", or a little bit of both as in "Splash," but he has also been able to do drama as in "Apollo 13" and "The Green Mile" and has even done drama with comic overtones as in "Forrest Gump." He runs the spectrum from end to end and has been positively BRILLIANT in many of his roles.
