Hi Diana, I attended a lot of that type of house party years ago & can tell you without a doubt things happen even from the best intentioned people.
You're much better off not to even bother, there were damages to the parents homes, taxi drivers showing up with beer for minors, people smoking weed & doing other crap, the police were usually involved at some point because of the noise or a fight.
The clean up in itself is something you should seriously think about...it can get pretty nasty.

If you live in the UK, it is illegal for your parents to leave you unsupervised. A responsible adult has to be in attendance.
My suggestion, ask four of your more responsible friends to support you in organising 'security'.
I can understand that you might not want to cancel, so that extra bit of vigilance will not go astray.
Have the telephone number of an nearby adult handy, who will be able to come at a moments notice in order to deal with the more difficult gatecrashers.

You definitely need some help but do not pick a few of your tougher friends to hang around the door because that will cause antagonisation which could erupt into a 'western'. You will have to cancel it unless you can persuade a couple of adults to attend, if not your parents then see if you can get some of the invitees to volunteer their dads. Since you will be taking such a responsible attitude, they would find it hard to refuse.

Best idea is to cancel the party. Know that isn't what you wanted to hear, but if there is no one going to be there to control what is going on or who is attending , then the best thing is to not have the party. I know that it would suck to call it off, but it would suck worse to have to face your parents with whatever damage that may occur cause people could not be controlled. Plus the damage to the trust that your parents have for you, will take a very long time to repair.

At 14, you are much too young to have a party without supervision, namely your parents. What in the world are THEY thinking? Obviously they are NOT!! Tell them at once and ask them to cancel their plans to be home with you for your party. If that is not possible, cancel the party. Trust me, you are asking for big time trouble.
Chow!!

Right.
So you know your parents are out.
You are having a party and know there will be gatecrashers and you are powerless to stop them and yet you are still going ahead with it anyway?
Not very clever are you!!!!!

Keep the front door shut and locked so that no one but you can answer it. Don't let anyone else open the door to new party guests (unless you really trust them) be tough - don't let friends of friends in - or it could get messy.

Charge a tenner a head. You'll need it to pay for the damage.
Seriously, dont even attempt it. More bad than good will come from it .

I think you should be having a chat with your Parents about this. I am amazed that they are allowing you to have a party without adult supervision.
