If you haven't had much physical extertion and/or you haven't sweated much or at all, it's fine for you. Careful though, if you get body odor easily, maybe you should shower everyday. You should have your daughter shower everyday. a 6 year old is more likely to get dirty during the day and it's good to promote good hygiene and regular showers.

Adults should bathe or shower daily is my opinion. I think it's reasonable for a 6 year old to bathe every other day provided they have a good wash in the morning and evening.

Of course, when we were children we didn't bathe every night if we really weren't dirty.
During the summer it was more like 2 or maybe 3 a week, the school year was every night.
Shampooing was weekly then also, but I am at retirement age so their wasn't so much hot water available for our family of 8.

My skin is very dry and sensitive, and so is my 3 yr old daughters. In the summer it's not as bad we can take cooler showers since it is hot out but once winter hits we go to every other day. It helps save our skin from much worse dryness and itchyness. Also you have natural oils in your hair so I skip a day all the time. Talk with your doctor, I'm sure that they will give you more facts to help back you up.

Yes esp, in the winter b/c your skin dries out quicker...look at it this way 100 years or so ago people (including kids) only took bathes once a week, so every other day seems fine

a child needs a bath daily, especially a 6 year old, they are very active and will get greasy looking hair and stink. You as an adult, well I guess it depends on your acitivity level, but wow, I take at the very least one a day if not 2!!!!

Yes, this is fine.
I'm sure that you use common sence as to when you skip a day (i.e., not after running a mile)

well. i've done it too. but try not to skip more than a day. dirt accumulates on our skin all the time. you don't want to get germs on you and your daughter. she could catch colds and so could you

no its not okay because you are teaching your daughter to have bad hygeine at a very young age. and it will be hard for her to change this as she gets older and develops and begins to sweat.

Your daughter, yes because her skin is delicate. She can skip a day as long as you wash her face.
You, on the other hand, need to bathe every day. Please tell me that you at LEAST wash your hoo-hoo every day??????
