LGBT ONLY--what do you dislike about the LGBT community?

Question

We already know what the bigots think. Go 'way, bigots. You'll be reported if you try. I'm asking community members.

Here is my list:

1. Political correctness
2. "Womyn's music"
3. Calls to act normal and stop freaking straights out. (The girls already think I'm straight, shoot!)
4. Gay men making fun of lesbians.
5. People who wouldn't say the word "bisexual" if their mouth was full of one!

I dislike guys who can't acknowledge the fact that they're bisexual even to me and insist on thinking there straight even though they've had sex with men before and keep seeking men. I've ask guys if they were gay or bi and they'll tell me neither. I'm straight and being serious. I end up talking to a great deal of "straight" guys for some reason.

I live on a tiny Island where these lgbt communities dont exist, but have been to big cities and seen all described here and agree with most answers, but here the place is very Methodist, and its not just preached in church, its force fed to people, so most gays are too scared to be out in public.We mostly meet in friends houses.What makes me laugh is the hypocrasy, coz I know at least 7 gays in the government who are shouting about "nasty homos" double standards here ,is the game

I am bisexual and g0y and I have tolerance for many gay people. I love quite a few of them. I am even carrying on a cyber sexual relationship with a gay man from this very community.
My only beef is that even though I am tolerant of others differing sexual practices and I try diligently to be non judgmental about them they still attack me at every perceived provocation.
SO
1. Intolerance for others views within their own community.
2. Judgment for others views concerning morality.
3. Out right blatant hatred for anyone who doesn't agree with them.

Other than that I love you guys.

I dislike the fact that as a people, who are already conditioned to hatred and intolerance, preach the same kind of intolerance to others. I hate the fact that in many places, there is no unity among us. I hate the fact that some gays will say there's no such thing as bi, while others will say they are only confused. But were a straight person to say the same thing to one of us, we'd be pissed off, and would not hesitate to correct them.

I thought the question was referring to the Yahoo GLBT community and I was going to say I hate the trolls who hang out here ruining this forum.

My list of the things I do not like about the GLBT community:

1. Dance/club music
2. Overemphasis on sex instead of relationships.
3. Intolerance of differing gay perspectives.
4. Obsession with looks.
5. G0ys - I cant stand that they believe its ok to marry women and cheat on them, then say they are spiritual and respectful to fellow men.

I guess I dislike the fact that many of our bars out here are segregated. Men only/ women only... I like hanging out with gay guys.... I don't really like this GOYz thing that is gong on.. It make me feel like people are escaping reality one more time.. I wish more men (my Friends) that are gay would settle down and commit with someone they love..... I wish we would all come together and have unity across the board because we all have something in common..... Just world piece----- If I were president

ageism, i'm only 38 but its like 138 in the bars, also i think we need to stop being so shallow, get out of the kiddie pool and go for some depth. i HATE guys who are straight-acting, your queer and there's no definition of how we have to act, we can be everything from a jock to a queen and we're still queer.........i just wish we really believed in the rainbow and the unity and diversity it represents, and treated each other with respect.

Thanks for the great question. What I really dislike about the LGBT community is:

1 Inclusion of all non-str8 types as being Gay, eg, drag queens, S&M freaks, transexuals & transgendered, etc. For gwd sakes these are not gay they are absolutely different. To each his own, good luck to them. But they are not like people who are just attracted to the same sex and are otherwise like str8 people. Please dont bring all kinds of persuasions under the Gay umbrella.

2 The Western notion that being gay means being effiminate. hear this people, in many cultures being gay has nothing to do with being queeney. Please dont disgrace us.
